Who Are The Rusty Griswolds? October 14 2008

Well, that's a really good question...

Since 1999, The Rusty Griswolds have been performing; bringing energy as only they can to the best music of the '80s. Whether you're willing to admit it or not, you're totally familiar with their music.

Hold On Loosely by 38 Special Let's Dance by David Bowie Video Killed The Radio Star by The Buggles I Want You To Want Me by Cheap Trick Friday I'm In Love by The Cure Pour Some Sugar On Me by Def Leppard Come on, Eileen by Dexy's Midnight Runners Hungry Like The Wolf by Duran Duran Centerfold by J. Geils Band

Now that you've got classic '80s music running through your head you'll understand why The Rusty Griswolds are a local favorite.  They were even voted Best Party / Cover Band in 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007 by the readers of Cincinnati's City Beat Magazine.

One Thing Leads to Another. Time after time The Rusty Griswolds have been asked to perform benefit concerts for well deserving benefit and charity events. Due to advance bookings of up to 9-12 months and cost prohibitive issues, they too often had to decline. So they had an idea: what if they invited local charities to become part of an annual event where they could showcase their causes and raise money through ticket sales? And that’s how The Rusty Ball started rolling.
